He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gay and Earnestine Gay; and his siblings, James Gay, Carmen Walton and Mary Hostetter.

He is survived by: his sisters, Sue (David Evans), Ann (Jeff McCormick) and Sandra Hodge; his close friend Louie; and his nephew Samuel Walton.
