He was predeceased by: his parents, Harnold Adkins and Dessie Adkins (Toney); and his brother Harold "H. J." Adkins (Sandra). He is survived by: his child Shawn Adkins (Amanda) of Canonsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Amelia and Preston; his children, Trista Adkins of Rockville, MD and Eric Adkins of Lower Salem, OH; his grandchildren, Shaianna, Brady, Trey, Torri and Kaila; his daughter Melissa Weppler (Scott) of Williamston, WV; his grandchildren, Kristianna, Taylor and Parker; and his siblings, Harnold "Porky" Adkins of Oak Hill, WV., Gary Adkins of Oak Hill, WV., Sherry Adkins of Oak Hill, WV. and Margie Pemberton of Oak Hill, WV..
