It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Harrah of Oak Hill, West Virginia, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on June 17, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, L. A. Harrah and Rita Pinson Harrah; and his brother Allen Harrah. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Parsons Harrah; his children, Scott Harrah (Redawna), James G. Harrah (Rachel) and Mary Kay Walker (Ronnie); his brother Richard "Dick" Harrah; his grandchildren, Danny Saye, Kaleigh Folk (Bryon), Austin Harler, Kelsea Harler, Morgan Harrah Pullens (River), Lauren Harrah (Brandon), Britney Hanshaw (Travis) and Derek Walker (Nina); and his great grandchildren, Brewer, Adilyn Saye, Aly, Lexi Hanshaw and Braxton Pullens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it is the family's wish that consideration for donations be given to Mountaineer Challenge Academy (South) scholarship fund in Montgomery, WV or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
