We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2022, at the age of 57, Helen Christine Backus of Oak Hill, West Virginia, born in Montgomery, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Ellison; her brothers, William "Bill" Ellison and Edward "Eddie" Ellison; and her grandson Mason Bowyer. She is survived by: her husband Walter Backus; her daughters, Kristy Thompson and Tiffany Bowyer (Jesse); her grandchildren, Hailey Bowyer, Erik Thompson, Easton Bowyer and Quinn Thompson; and her siblings, Bobby Ellison (Phyllis), James Ellison (Kathy), Glen Ellison (Corinne), Freda Bostic, Mary Skaggs and Ruth Underwood (Frank). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
