With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gracie Imogene Underwood of Oak Hill, West Virginia, who passed away on March 12, 2022 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gracie Imogene Underwood to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jasper Curtis Plumley (Jack) and Golden Martin Plumley; her husband Charles Eugene Underwood; her son Larry Austin Underwood; her siblings, Elmer Plumley, Charles Plumley, Emerson Plumley, Lee Plumley (Jimmy), Clarence Plumley (Bud), Erdene Avis, Cleo Raeon, Kathleen Pauley, Betty Basham (Lorene) and Lucille Stover; her children, James Underwood (Jim) of Oak Hill and Charlene Underwood of Oak Hill; her grandsons, Dominic Underwood of Oak Hill and Charles Johnson of Japan; her close friend Trish Canterbury; her caregivers, Kathy McCoy, Jessica Lewis and Athena Carr; and also, Allen and Teresa Flanagan.
She played an active part in RSVP, AARP, and loved going to the Fayette Senior Center every time the bus ran.
The family would like to also thank Hospice for all their help and assistance and would like donations to be made to Hospice in lieu of flowers.
