He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Amy Marcia Evert Gilbert; his close friend Bonnie Harrah; his sons, Mark Gilbert and Matthew Gilbert; and his sister Linda Lee Garman.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Menei (Mickey), Rebecca Pack (Scott) and Daniel Gilbert; his grandchildren, Nicolas Menei (Brittney), Taylor Hall (Nick) and Jerod Pack (Tyler); and his siblings, Marsha Alkire and Glen Gilbert.
