She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bowens and Rose Algood Bowens; her husband Albert Robert Thombs; her children, Leroy, Richard, James Thombs, Ruth Thombs and Irma Cooper; and her siblings, Albert, Milford, Robert, John, Ronald Bowens, Jessie Fenker, Minnie Azell, Virginia Bradford and Helen Hacker.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce A. Smith, Constance M. Payne of Lochgelly, WV and Ronald E. Thombs II (Kimberly) of Oak Hill, WV; her brother Freddy Bowens of Portsmouth, OH; and her pet Little Angel. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
