He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Austin Ervin, Sr. and Barbara Ann Brabban Ervin; his grandparents, William Brabban, Gracealee Bowyer Murdock (Brabban), Adrian Ervin and Irene Mullins Ervin (Steele); his brother James Donald Ervin; and also James A. Murdock, Sr..
He is survived by: his son C. Austin Ervin, III; his granddaughter Emma Grace Ervin; his brother William Keith Ervin (Terri); and his caregiver Carolyne Postle. He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
