He was predeceased by: his parents, Early Vance and Zettie Vance; and his siblings, Edward Vance, Betty Shadd and Marie Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Branham Vance; his children, Chuck Vance (Pam) of Oak Hill and Cindy Wilson (Kyle) of Oak Hill; his grandchildren, Amanda Bauer, Casey Vance and Brendan Wilson; his great grandchildren, Silas Bauer and Elias Bauer; and his siblings, John T. Vance, Clifford Vance, Roy Vance, Leonard Vance, Mary Lou Patrick and Janice Gross. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
