She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy E. Shifflett and Bessie Shifflett (Collins); her husband Homer S. Coleman; and her siblings, Raymond R. Shifflett, Katie Sink, Helen Stanley, Vada Ellison, Silva Shifflett and Mary Hess Walton.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Coleman, James Coleman (Lina), Norman Coleman (Diana), Roy Coleman (Diana) and Jerome Coleman (Melissa); her grandchildren, Mark Tincher, Brian Tincher, Ashley Moerschel of James Coleman, JR, Jeanny Pidgeon, Jeanette Miller, Paul Kimber, Sam Coleman, Michael Coleman, Christopher Coleman, Thomas Coleman of Jerome Coleman, JR, Shaun Coleman, Tyler Coleman and Julie Fox; and her family Catherine. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews.
