He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Cleveland and Hettie Ellen Ellis Lindsay; his wife Oleta Lindsay; his siblings, Dorothy Catherine Lindsay, Belah Fay Lindsay and Robert Clifford Lindsay; and his half-sister Jean Wade Duncan.
He is survived by: his friend Amedisys Hospice; his children, Paula Jean Lindsay (Ronald "Tim" Leichliter) of West Milford and William "Bill" Paul Lindsay of Nutter Fort; and his siblings, Maurice Lindsay (Mary Ellen) of Chesapeake, VA and Barbara Scott (Tom) of West Milford, WV. He is also survived by his wife, children and extended family.
