He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry Gottschall and Thelma Excell Gottschall. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Goss; and his children, Robert Gottschall (Judy), William Gottschall, Mark Gottschall, Matthew Gottschall (Cheryl) and Melody Lakus (Albert). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
