He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wilford Chilton and Grace Katherine Vanscoy Chilton; his wife Virginia Smith Chilton; and his siblings, Cora, Madeline, Nancy and Sherman.
He is survived by: his daughter Amie Chilton (Roy Hedrick); his sisters, Dawn Manchego and Linda Vuckovich (Michael); his granddaughter Virginia Hedrick; and his great grandchild Ellieana Shaffer.
