He was predeceased by: his parents, George Daniels and Emily McClanahan Turner Daniels; his wife Mabel Turner; his son Jimmy Church; his grandson Jeffrey James; and his stepfather Alvie Daniels.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine McGrath of Tucson, AZ, Emily Eaves of Cleveland, TN, Teresa Marcum (Landon) of Crum, WV, Faye Simpkins of Matewan, WV, Jeffrey Lee James (Diana) of Sophia, WV and John Randall Turner of Somerset, KY; his grandchildren, Faith, Charity, Brittany, Christa, Micah, Samantha, Kourtney, Hope, Traci, Landon, Kayla, Tenlee, Amanda, Madison and Hannah; and his brother Bobby Turner (Katie) of Locust Grove, VA.
