He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy and Nannie (Chafin); his wife Joanne Kinder (Kiser); his children, Pamela Joyce Kinder and Paul Joseph Kinder; his grandson Ricky Joe Hinkle; his siblings, Lon Kinder, John Kinder, Malcolm Kinder, Cecil Kinder, Bobby Ray Kinder, Darrel Kinder, Edith May and Sarah Lester; his brothers-in-law, Harry Roberson and Jim Chambers; his cousin Kenny Gillespie; and his pet Orangie.
He is survived by: his children, Kaye Annette Carroll (Freddie) and Charles Kinder of North Matewan, WV; his grandchildren, Crystal Evans (Jonathan), Christina Moore (Clay), Jasmine Bailey (Jacob), Trista Edmonds (Jarrod) and Michael Carroll (Paige); his great grandchildren, Azaria Moore (Blake West), La'Kiera Rutherford, Kerrigan Evans, MaKaylah Edmonds, Korbin Carroll and Kit Carroll; his great great grandchild Declan West; his brothers, Reece Kinder of Kingsport, TN and Dan Kinder of Newtown, WV; and his sisters-in-law, Pauline Roberson of Matewan, WV and Joyce Carey.
