She was predeceased by: her parents, Carry James and Maud "Lady" Sumpter James; her husband Bernard Kuhl; and her siblings, Linda Bailey and Cecil Lee James.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Donald Bailey, Bobby Kuhl (Ruth), Billy Kuhl (Radene), Bryle Kuhl and Deloris Furr (Dean).
