He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Helmick and Belva Jett (Hewitt); and his siblings, Darrel, Betty and Gloria Helmick.
He is survived by: his children, Patty Singleton (Garry) of Normantown and James Helmick of Lynn Camp; his grandsons, Derek Singleton (Morgan) of Cedarville and Ryan Singleton (Lacy Whystell) of Glenville; his great grandchild Braleigh Singleton; and his grandchildren, Wrenley Boggs and Laken Duskey.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. (2 Vanhorn Dr, Glenville, WV 26351). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the same location.
