He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Guinn and Eleanor Guinn; and his brother Robert Guinn. He is survived by: his wife Joann; his sons, Michael, II (Mallory), Christopher and Andrew; his granddaughters, Caroline and Priscilla; and his siblings, Catherine Larch, Pamela Hinst (James) and Patrick Guinn (Marianne). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
