It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mavis Irene Hedrick in Nitro, West Virginia, born in Mason, West Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollie and Zelma; her husband Charles; and her siblings, Darlena, Leona, Jean, Wilbur and Thurman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Stokes and Lou Ann Dial (Dale); her granddaughter Rebecca (Zack); and her great grandchild Greer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ardmore United Methodist Church at 630 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
