With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Freddie V. Cox of Nitro, West Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Linda Ross Cox Skiles; his daughter Melissa; his father Elijah Cox; his parents-in-law, James and Dorothy Miller; his son Jeff Boggs; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Roe and Scott Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his mother Evelyn Cox of Glasgow, WV; his children, James Cox (Debbie) of Cross Lanes, Larry Boggs of Nitro and Alexandrea Cox Brown (Michael); his siblings, Doreen Roe of Glasgow, Mary Smith (Chuck) of Belle and Eddie Cox (Debbie) of Weston, WV; his grandchildren, Aiden James Brown, Mac Elliott Brown, Dylan, Jacob Cox, Taylor Boggs of Nitro, Kristin Boggs, Makala Boggs, Matthew Church of Cross Lanes, Frankie Ralston of Nitro and Savanah Campbell; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Ralston (Frank) of Nitro, Kathy Taylor (Ralph) of Dunbar, Mildred Shelton (Chuck) of Oak Hill and Jim (Gail). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
