He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karnes and Zelda Karnes; his wife Dee Karnes; and his siblings, Eunice Knight, Theresa Medford, Gerald Karnes, James Karnes, George Karnes, John Paul Karnes and Kent Karnes.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Cook (Harold), Kelly Karnes (Cindy), Marie McFadden (Shane) and Jim Karnes; and his sisters, Jeannie Patton (Jerry) of Nitro and Joyce Beer (David) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
