With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles William Shafer Jr. (Nitro, West Virginia), born in Buffalo, West Virginia, who passed away on January 31, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Shafer Sr. and Lola Mae Glassburn Shafer; his siblings, Robert, Brady and Margaret; and his former wife Patricia Shafer.

He is survived by: his wife Alice McClanahan Woodall Shafer. He is also survived by his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund at First Presbyterian Church of St. Albans.
