He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather R. L. Gibson; his parents, Rev. Cecil E. Gibson, Sr. and Norma "Sunny" Gibson; his sister Linda Fern Davis Casto; his wife Sharon Theresa Hackett Gibson; his children, Paula Wandling of Creedmoor, NC and Cecil Gibson, III (Tracy) of Hamersville, OH; his grandchildren, Daniel Wandling, Sydney Gibson (Justin Van Meter) and Samuel Gibson; and his siblings-in-law, C. B. Hackett (Karen), Nora Lovejoy (Charles) and Ed Casto.
