It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Asbury of Nitro, West Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bill Asbury to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Asbury. He is survived by: his great grandchild Riley Zane Reis; his son Norman Marshall Asbury of Nitro; his grandchildren, Amy Marie Reis (Brian) of Mt. Pleasant, SC., Jason Andrew Smith (Christy) of Hurricane and Genna Leigh Saunders (Ryane) of Cross Lanes; his great grandchild Madison Paige Morris (Todd); his siblings, Ronald, Delmar, Verna May, Mary Lou, Debra Sue Asbury and Luanne Jividen; and also, Easton and Willow.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cooke Funeral Home Chapel (2002 20th St, Nitro, WV 25143). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A masonic service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:10 PM at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens (5233 Rocky Fork Rd, Cross Lanes, WV 25313). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the same location.
