It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lawson of Nitro, West Virginia, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Leonard Iverson Hoke and Lucille Woodson Hoke; her husband Max Wendell Lawson Sr.; her sister Mary "Mitzi" Hoke Stone; and her grandson Blaine Lawson.
She is survived by: her sons, Max Wendell Lawson Jr., Dr. Wendell Lawson, Jr. (Anne) and Leonard "Lennie" Lawson (Terri); her sister Frances Hoke Jeranko; and her grandchildren, Katie Wilson (Todd), Abby Lawson, Max Lawson III (Jennifer), Fern Pruss (Matthew), Audra Nelson (Ben) and Gwen Gulmire (Connor).
