He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Russell and Anel Harvey Bennett; his siblings, Jack Bennett, Finley Bennett (Frances) and Bonnie Wykle (Tom); and his brothers-in-law, Lionel Hatcher and Benny Houchins.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie Bennett of Nimitz; his children, Bethany Hardy (Rex) of Roanoke, VA and Jeffery Bennett (Brooke) of Pipestem, WV; his grandchildren, Rachel Weiss (Jason) of Union, Paul Turner (Alissa) of Palmetto, FL, Jessica Dooley (Will) of Roanoke, VA, Madison Bennett of Pipestem and Alyssa Bennett of Pipestem; his great grandchildren, Amelia Weiss, Sawyer Weiss, Abigail Turner, Silas Turner, Dreyton Dooley and Sadie Dooley; his siblings, Glen Bennett (Flossie) of Lewisburg, Marlene Hatcher of Teays Valley, Mary Houchins of Jumping Branch, Wilma Anderson (Leonard) of Nimitz and Iva Kay Lilly (Jack) of Lewisburg; and his sister-in-law Patsy Bennett of Lerona. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
