It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Smith of Newton, West Virginia, who passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Brooks and Dorcas Margaret Coen Smith; his former wife Loretta Kay Conley Smith; his son David Wayne Smith; and his siblings, Raymond Dale Smith, Curtis Brooks Smith, Jr., Charlene Jarvis and Sherry Lynn Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Edens of Newton and Carl Wayne; his daughter-in-law Sara Smith of Waverly; his grandson Cass Carder of Vienna; his stepgrandchildren, Nevaeh and Timothy Hutson of Waverly; his brother Melvin; his sister-in-law Yvonne Smith of Looneyville; and his sisters, Gerry (Leroy Lang) and Martha "Nicky" White of Kermit. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
