With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonny Barker of Newburg, West Virginia, who passed away on November 8, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Clifton and Eva Mae Barker (Johnson); his wife Lulabelle Barker (Akers); and his siblings, Charles "Buddy" Barker, Betty Felicia, Mary McGinnis, Shirley Menefee, Margaret Goff, Bonnie Wiles, Frances "Patty" Stemple and Genevieve Stemple.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Barker, Mike Barker (Janie) and Melissa "Missy" Benkiel (Mark); his grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Danielle, Michael, Mason, Joey and Jackie; and his siblings, Paul Barker of Newburg, Jerry Barker of Newburg, Barbara Mitter and Linda Dean (Eddie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
