He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carney and Minnie May Poling (Shreve); his son David Poling; his brother John Edward Poling; and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Poling and Robert Zinn.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Roberta Poling (Parker); his children, Paul "Donnie" Donald Poling, Jr., Patty, Betty Sue Chilcott, Thomas Richard Poling, Kathleen "Kate" Regels, Gary, Hagerstown, MD and Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Poling; his siblings, Robert Dale Poling Sr. and Dorothy Zinn; and his sister-in-law Jean Poling of Grantsville, WV. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
