She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay E Sapp and Sadie V Emerson Sapp; her husband Fred E Grimes; her daughters, Linda D Harris and Karen L Johnson; her siblings, Kells G Sapp (Renita "Patty") and Frances V Swearengen; her nephew James Swearengen; and her niece Mary Frances Swearengen.
She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Frankie G Johnson and Milton R "Ike" Harris; her grandsons, Nathan R Harris (Ashley) of Pittsburgh, PA, Andrew C Harris, Berlin, Germany, Matthew Johnson, Marguax of Aurora, CO, Gregory Johnson and Kurtis Johnson of Suffolk, VA; her great grandchildren, Nora Johnson, Evelyn Harris and Hayes Harris; her nephew Jerald Swearengen of Phoenix, AZ; and her niece Patricia Bolyard.
