It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Springer of New Martinsville, West Virginia, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Robert Hayes and Virginia Hays Hayes; her son Johnny Kool; and her siblings, Ted Hayes, Grace McGee, Alice Williams, Mary Jo Zipf and Ada Hayes.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Smith (Amanda Ball) of Moundsville, WV and Jennifer Smith; her siblings, Sally Davis, Kathleen Bettem, Jerry Hayes and Jack Hayes; her grandchildren, Maranda Lasure, Haden Smith, Carson Smith, Grace Smith and Haylee McNally; and her great grandchild Grayson McNally.
