With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Melvin Myers of New Martinsville, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton C. Myers and Ethel L. Myers (Morris); his brother Joe Myers; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Henthorn and Bob Debolt.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Myers (Dailey); his children, John Myers (Vicky) of Paden City, WV, Jeff Myers of Manassas, VA and Michelle Leonard (Tom) of Paden City, WV; his grandchildren, Amanda Myers, Sarah Blanchard (James), Arika Myers, Marci Myers, Kayla Myers, Haley Rush (Ben), Joni Myers, Trey Leonard, Josie Epperly (Drew), Travis Leonard, Cade Myers and Paige Leonard; his great grandchildren, Jayci, Adeline, Stella, Delancey, Jax, Ellis, Buck, Ace, Arlo, Bailey and Eleanor; his sisters, Louise Henthorn of New Martinsville, WV, Laura Debolt of New Martinsville, WV and June Cozart (French) of New Martinsville, WV; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Myers, JoEllen Slider and Brenda Miller. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
