It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Bassett of New Martinsville, West Virginia, who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, John E. Bassett (Agnes Lewis) of Elk Fork, WV and Cora Cook of New Martinsville, WV.; his wife Billie Jo Bassett (Jenkins); his daughter Kiana Bassett of New Martinsville, WV; his stepchildren, Dalton Richeson, Preston Hinkle, Danesha Bassett, Breanna Mease, Paula Dunham and Leona Hinkle; and his brothers, Nathan Bassett of New Martinsville, WV and Bryan Bassett of New Martinsville, WV. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
