He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Simon and Edna Virginia Maury (Lasure); his daughter Donna Maurer; his stepson Timothy Neff; his daughter-in-law Jill Maury; his siblings, Freda and Jacob Maury; and his siblings-in-law, Vivian Maury, Juanita Maury and James Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Maury (Cochran Neff); his children, Deborah Maury of Canton, OH, Mary Jo Adams (Tom) of Canton, OH and James H. Maury Jr. of Orville, OH; his stepdaughters, Debra Thomas (Rick) of West Virginia and Sandra Howell (Mike) of West Virginia; his brother Norman Maury of Waynesburg, OH; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Cochran of North Carolina and Linda Howell (Leeroy) of West Virginia. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home - New Martinsville (1224 S Bridge St, New Martinsville, WV 26155).
