He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Isaac and Allah Edna Smith (Nease); his wife Janet Ruth Smith (Williams); his former wife Rosalie Smith (Wise); and his siblings, Arthur Smith, Lloyd Smith and Marian Gregg.
He is survived by: his grandson Reid Ord; his sister Connie Smith of Darwin, OH; his children, Lora Lea Ord (Dicky) of New Haven, Mark Shayne Smith (Teri) of Kenova, Amanda Ellen Jarrell (John Greer) of New Haven and Bradford Lee Smith (Cynthia) of West Columbia, WV.; and his close friends, William, Jane Bird and Pat Layne. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
