He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Hanel; his sister Carleen Bowyer (James) of Bedford, Virginia; his children, Kevin Hanel (Amy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kelley Krenek (Robert) of Plano; his stepdaughter Colena Shoemaker (Tony) of Weirsdale, Florida; and his grandsons, Benjamin Hanel, Tyler Shoemaker and Conner Shoemaker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
