It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Wharton of New Cumberland, West Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Eddy and Estella Eddy of Alvy, WV.; her husband Denzil Wharton; her siblings, Jim Eddy and Norma Jean Kinney; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Kinney and Leon Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Ridgway (Butch) of New Cumberland, WV and Jerrold Wharton (Mary) of Parkersburg, WV; her sister Pearl Myers of Parkersburg, WV; and her grandchildren, Michael Ridgeway (Andy), Tim Ridgway (Bobbie), Kevin Ridgway (Rachel), Andrea Kjos (Andy), Estelle Hatcher (Billy) and Peter Wharton. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
