He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Coffman and Sally Coffman; his wife Hazel Coffman (Whetzel); and his sister Annalees Coffman. He is survived by: his children, John P. Coffman, II (Barbara), Cindy Alt (James) of Keyser and Susan Helmick (Allan) of New Creek; his grandchildren, John P. Coffman, III, Sally Maybury, Jenny Cole, Cathy Fleming, Laura Costello and Emily Simpson; his sister Patricia Payne; and his great grandchildren, Celia, Evelyn Cole, James, Tess Maybury, Ben, Hazel Marie Fleming, Liam, Lily Coffman, Hayden, Hazel Elizabeth Costello, Charlotte and Vivian Simpson.
