She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Vernon and Jessie Marie Carr (Berg); her husband David F. Layton; her grandson Brayden Schell; and her siblings, Neva Hedrick, Jim and Gary Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Celia Jean Constable of Westernport, MD, Tammy L. Biddle (John) of Keyser, Cynthia M. Morton (Charles) of Keyser, David W. Layton (Marsha) of Upper Tract, WV, John D. Layton of Petersburg, WV, Robert T. Layton and Linda Oates of Springfield, WV; and her siblings, Larry Carr of Maysville, WV and Geraldine Evans (Golden) of Maysville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one step granddaughter.
