He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kinder and Bertha Kinder (Kerns) of Nellis, WV.; his siblings, Dewey, Frank Jr., Kenneth Kinder, Doris Hoover and Geraldine Castle; and his grandson Brandon Lee McCracken.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Kinder (Phillips); his children, Tammy McCracken of Scott Depot, Cindy Elkins (Wayne) of Hurricane and Jack Kinder (Beth); his grandchildren, Ryan McCracken of Apex, NC, Stephanie McCracken of Barboursville, WV, Joshua McCracken of Jefferson, Georgia and Carissa Tyler (Mason); his siblings, Jerry Kinder, Sue Ann Barker, Patricia Carol Perdue and Phyllis Casto; and his close friend William "Artie" Hutchison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
