He was predeceased by: his parents, Rush Spradlin and Della Spradlin (Crawford) of Mingo County, WV.; his son Roy Spradlin Jr.; and his siblings, Leonard Thompson, William Elkins, Remus Elkins, James Elkins, Rush Spradlin Jr., Laurence Thompson and Emma Jean Cantrell.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Spradlin (New); his daughters, Pamela Hignite (Bobby) of Naugatuck, WV, Bambi Murphy (Dalena) of South Williamson, KY and Rachel Craven (Timothy) of Naugatuck, WV.; his siblings, Bonnie Kerr (Jim) of Florida, Shirley Scott (Jack) of Virginia and Ronald Spradlin (Barbara) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Bobby Ray Hignite, Adine Hignite (Satch), Timothy Dalton Craven and Autumn Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Abby Tessi, Donavan Pinkerton, Trinity Hignite and Charity Hignite.
