He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Pettry and Daisy "Mae" Pettry (Hendrix); his wife Mildred "Emily" Pettry; his son Timothy; and his sister Stollie Buffurine.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Lynn Pettry of Naoma, WV and James Kevin Pettry (Tami); his great grandchild Ayden C Davis of Bloomingrose, WV; his siblings, Howard Pettry (Margie) of Fairdale, WV and Julia Ann McGinnis (Pettry) of Dry Creek, WV.; and also, Carson B Massey and Braxton M Massey.
