With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Virginia Roop of Mullens, West Virginia, who passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Everett Brinegar and Hattie Alice Buchanon Brinegar; and her brothers, Charles Brinegar and Freelan Brinegar. She is survived by: her daughter Kristi Roop; her sister Etta Farley; her nephew Michael Farley; her niece Robin Estep; her great-nephews, Phillip Farley, Axl Estep and Ben Roberts; her cousins, Wilma Green and Nancy Christian; and her friend Don McGlothlin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Evans-Calfee Funeral Service (614 Appalachian Hwy, Pineville, WV 24874). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
