He was predeceased by: his daughter Kelly Shutt; his siblings, Fred Shutt, Jr. and Peggy Hill; and his son-in-law Jeff Brown. He is survived by: his wife Merita Bowers Shutt; his children, Konni Ann Bell of Wanda Brown, Tim Watson (Donna) and Chris Watson (Karen); his grandchildren, Heath Ethridge (Lindsay), Lauren Brooks (Daniel), Rebekah Watson, Josh Watson (Mattie), Bailey Watson, Ashlyn Bell and Jessica Wright; and his great grandchildren, Braylen, Jaxon, Brody, Ava and Everleigh.
In recent years, he served his beloved wife with excellence as her caretaker through her journey with Alzheimer's disease.
