We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 77, Frank Blackwell of Mullens, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. "Tuck" Blackwell and Kathleen P. Blackwell Vest; his in-laws, Henry and Maude Canterbury; his stepfather Earl Vest; and his stepsister Paula Bangle.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy Canterbury Blackwell of Mullens; his children, Audra Blackwell (Matthew Martin) of Charleston and Mark Blackwell; his grandchildren, Colton Henry and Abigail Lee Blackwell of Mullens; his siblings-in-law, Andrew Canterbury of Mullens and Tammy McKinney (Clifford) of Beckley; his niece Amber McKinney (Blaine McKinney); and his nephew Clint Houck of Charlotte, NC..
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church (319 Highland Ave, Mullens, WV 25882). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5250 Robert C Byrd Dr, Mt Hope, WV 25880).
