He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles S. Stump and Eva Grace Stump; his stepmother Mildred M. Stump; his brothers, William R. Stump and Charles S. Stump Jr.; and his in-laws, Eugene L. Neal and Margaret "Billie" Knight Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Karolyn N. Stump; his children, Alice Akers (Darren) of Logan, WV and Samuel Stump (Alycia) of Mullens, WV.; and his grandchildren, William Akers (Abigail Johnson), McKenzie Akers and Brighid Stump.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Mullens or a charity of your choice.
