He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Cox and Routha Cox; his siblings, Merle, Harold Cox and Marion Feller; and his former wife Rachel Ruth Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Cox; his sons, Shaan Cox (Shelly) of New Holland, OH and Chad Cox (Amy) of Mullens; his sister Faye Hash of Marion, VA; his cousin Jim Cox of Wynette, VA; his grandchildren, Jacob Nelson, D. J. Roberts (Gina), Nick Roberts (Erika), Ryan Roberts, Emily Powers (Zackary), Nathan Cox, Madison Wray (Isaiaha), Isabella Lusk (Connor), Abigal Baker, Braydee, Jami, Cali and Gabriel Cox; and his great grandchildren, Elle Roberts, Cora Roberts, Elijah Roberts, Everleigh Roberts and Agustus Wray.
Subsequently, he served as a Hearing Examiner for the DMV for two decades, making significant contributions to the community he held dear.
