He was predeceased by: his son Terry Lee Shrout; his grandsons, Ricky Gene Allen and Jereme Edward Shrout; his brothers, Carl Shrout, Chester Shrout, Tom Shrout, Everette Shrout, George Shrout and Charles Shrout; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Ann Shrout.
He is survived by: his spouse Lillie Mae Roberts Shrout; his sons, Noel Edward Shrout (Donna) of Beckley and Brian Scott Shrout of Danielsville, GA.; his sisters, Bethel Sue Martin and Hildred Dorrell; his grandchildren, Travis Shrout of Mount Hope and Brittany Rice of Oak Hill; his great grandchildren, Abigail Worrell, Eli Shrout, Isabella Rice and McKenzlie Worrell; and his stepgrandchildren, Billy Joe, Matthew, Daniel and Joshua Buchanan.
