He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Bayes and Evelyn Kirkley Bayes; and his brother Terry Bayes. He is survived by: his daughter Veronica Depew of Stewardson, IL; his siblings, Bill Bayes and Sheila Walton (Shawn) of Redmon, IL; his sister-in-law Cindy Bayes of Charleston, IL; his grandchildren, Brian Moore (Izzy), Cheyenne Depew and Shannon Depew; his great grandchildren, Peyton and Crew; and his nieces and nephews, Crystal Bayes, Amanda Johnson, Zach and Ryan Walton.
