He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Long and Rosella Long (Garvonic); his wife Linda Long (Cooper); and his daughter Rhonda Siburt. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Ross (Paul) of Hagerstown, MD, Jeffrey Long (Sherry) of Glen Dale, WV, Pamela Secrest (Tim) of Jacobsburg, OH and Roger Michael Long of Moundsville, WV.; and his sister Donna Logsdon of Moundsville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel (118 Grant Ave, Moundsville, WV 26041). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (326 Jefferson Ave, Moundsville, WV 26041).
